Alexander and Daddy made it up to Snoqualmie for 6 days of skiing this year... and we decided that we should get some REAL (not just green runs) action in up at Whistler for 2 days. So, we grabbed John Tippett and Mia, and headed up to the Great White North.
Lucky for us... PERFECT SUNNY WEATHER! Kids in lessons! What a formula for massive leg burn. killer!
We had a terrific vacation week with Kristina's bro and sis (and their families) in Cabo. Average temp... 86 and sunny. (Day we returned to Seattle... SNOW!)
We've had a super nice christmas... Christmas Eve at our house, Christmas Day at Grandma's... and everything accentuated by the beautiful white satin still laying over Seattle.
The snow came overnight on the 17th -- including waking us up with a "thundersnow" (yes, thats what they call it!) with lighting and loud booms at 5:30am. Since snow is so rare in Seattle, everyone ditches work, decides it's too hard to drive (jacknifed buses littering the streets everywhere), and pulls out the skis and sleds in local neighborhoods.
So we did too.
Leslie, Diane and the Tippetts joined Lorrie and the rest of our family for some holiday cupcakes and hot chocolate... and then we went outside to play around in the Arboretym.

And stop back... it's supposed to DUMP SNOW tonight (Saturday), so tomorrow's Seahawks game promises to be another snow adventure. (looking ahead... white christmas?)
We're totally going in holiday mode...tree is up, xmas card is in the works, and yesterday we took the kids to see Santa. The girls were absolutely not fond of Mr. Claus ...
Click to see all our Christmas photos ... we'll be adding throughout the holiday season, so stop back!
The grand finale to our fun Thanksgiving trip to Florida was a two-day stop at Disneyworld... a first for Sydney and Piper! We were accompanied by Leslie and Diane (thank god for a bit of extra adult help) and we covered 3 out of 5 parks... we'll have to catch EPCOT next time around.
The most INTERESTING thing about the trip was that of the seven of us, all but 3 had gotten sick within the 5 days or so of the trip... and alexander had the best timing, holding off until we were about to eat dinner at the Tomorrowland Terrace -- he tossed his cookies at the restaurant and I got a workout carrying him all the way down Main Street and out of the park. The little man was a trooper, though, and was back in the park the following day!
